Steps
1: Create a new Photoshop Document with size: 400×400
2: Create A new Layer (empty layer)
3: Apply filter as following: Filter->Render->Clouds

4: Apply Gausian Blur(Set: 6) and Motion Blur (Angle: 90, Distance: 80) from Filter-> Blur ->

5: Decrease width of the layer
6: Apply Plastic wrap Filter
Filter->Artistic->Plastic Wrap
and adjust Strength: 15, Detail:10, Smoothness:10
Then Apply Filter->Sketch->Chrome
Set: Detail:0, Smoothness: 8

7: Then change Fade chrome mode: Edit->Fade Chrome
Set: Opacity:100%, Mode: Hard Light.

8: Stretch the layer Horizontally, or increase height to about 1000px (Image size-> Height)
9: Apply Wrap: Edit-> Transform-> wrap Then move the anchors to inward to as water flow.

Apply gradient or a picture to background layer. And change the blending mode of the liquid flow layer to ‘hard light’

An Easy Way to Sharpen an Image

Most of the digital images requires sharpening to get high quality. When an image is used for printing purpose precise sharpening is needed. In Adobe Photoshop, it can be done very easily. Photoshop filters can be used to make the images more distinct.

In the photoshop Filter Gallery, There are some filters: Sharpen, Sharpen More, Smart Sharpen, Sharpen Edges etc.Smart sharpen is a better way.

But these filters increase the Blur details also. Here is a smart way to sharpen image precisely using High Pass filter.

Step-1:  Open the image

Step-2: Duplicate the background layer. Change its blending mode to overlay.

Then Apply high pass filter. Choose Filter > Other > High Pass. Change the Pixel radius to get precise sharpening. Pixel radius between 1 to 2.0 is enough.

Fine tuning can be done by duplicating the second layer (In which high pass filter is used) and adjusting its opacity.

You had seen many Glossy buttons in many websites. Here is a simple way to make a round glossy button.

Step 1. Open a new photoshop document with size: 200*200 pixels and background transparent.

Step 2. Select the elliptical marquee. Draw a circle with required size.

Step 3. Fill the circle using required color. Here Blue is used.

Step 3. Create a new layer. Using the elliptical marqee tool, make an ellipse as shown.

Step 4. Take the gradient tool. Apply gradient from bottom to top with white color having transition from opacity 0% to 100%. Do this as shown.

Step 5. Deselect.

Step 6. Select the first layer. Add some layer styles: Drop shadow and inner shadow as shown.

Step 7. Your button is ready. Save as GIF or PNG for using it in your website.

You can add pictures or your logo inside the button.

In photoshop it is easy to create a reflection effect. This is difficult for complex objects.

Here is a simple way to create a mirror like effect. Here the effect is give to an iphone.

Step1: Cut the object properly from its background. Use the various selection tools for this. Delete the background.

Step2: Select the object layer. Duplicate layer. Using free transform, move the top portion downwards as shown.

Step3: Apply a small perspective transform if required.

Step4: Decrease the opacity of the shadow to about 50%

Step5: Add layer mask to the shadow layer.

Step6: Select the mask on the layer palette. Apply white to black gradient from top to bottom to the mask.

Step7: Apply Gaussian blur about 2 pixels (filter) to the shadow image.

Step8: Apply white to black gradient to the background

for creating the effects like in this picture:

1: Do the above steps.

2: Do skew transform to the shadow layer.

Using the smudge tool and brush tool remove the distortions and make the real feel.
