Dragon NaturallySpeaking 9 is one of the most popular voice to text applications-it creates your documentes as you speak, so you can give your fingers a rest! This application can also can read out text from documents. You can dictate into most of the Windows application from web browsers to word processors to even e-mail clients. The document creation applications supported by Dragon NaturallySpeaking 9 are Corel WordPerfect, Microsoft Word and Excel
In this version of Dragon NaturallySpeaking, you can straight away start using the application without actually training it to adjust to your voice, but this is not recommended as it could lead you to pulling your hair in despair as the recognition accuracy would not be as high as if yo uspend time training it first

HOT FEATURES, COOL CASE

Zebronics brings a temperature probe and more to the sub-2.5K bracket. The Zebronics Rage PC case is a mid tower ATX case with a temperature probe and a 220 mm intake fan for the removable side panel. The fan is lit by 5 blue colored LEDs and does a decent job of upping the style statement of the case. The fan also features a potentiometer for controlling it’s speed though noise emissions were quite low even at the highest speed

The case features 4, 5.25-inch drive bays and can house 4, 3.5-inch drives There is an exposed 3.5 bay that can hold floppy or zip drives. A round metallic power button sits under the drive openings with a smallish reset button right below it. An LCD on the front panel can show nformation like ambient temperature nside the case and hard drive activity and has a blue backlight that compliments the fan’s LEDs. You can select Centigrade or Fahrenheit scales and set custom alarm temperatures for the LCD. There are 2 USB ports on the left side of the display, and mic and headphone outs on the right

side. Zebronics has put in a pre fabricated USB header which works with most front panel pin configurations. The case can hold 7 expansion boards and has notches on the side to slide in cards with wider connectors

Build quality is good though the front panel plastic feels a bit weak. The edges inside the case are well molded to prevent njury. The black glossy finish of the case makes it look quite sleek.

The power supply included with case is rated at 550W and features a decent set of connectors. There are 4 molex connectors, a SATA power connector, a 24 pin ATX connector, a 4 pin ATX connector for AMD boards and an 8 pin ATX connector for newer Intel boards. A PCI express connector is sorely missing here. We tested the performance with a Geforce 7800 GTX, 3 hard drives, and the 12 Volt fan, and we were quite impressed. At full load the PSU provided a constant 11.98V. FOR: Large 220 mm led fan, smooth edges, LCD temperature display AGAINST: Glossy finish picks up fingerprints, no PCI express connector.

HIGH POWER AND GOOD VALUED

Having a rated output power of 550 watts the GP-PS550BP is ideal for building a power-hungry gaming rig or a system with high power requirement. The PSU features dual +12V rails to balance the load demanded by the graphics cards and peripherals. Two PCIE power connectors are provided for powering SLI or CrossFir setups. Two SATA and five Molex connectors are available for drives. Thoug enough, at least two more SATA power connectors should have been provided for RAID setups like 0+1 and 5. The unit is fitted with an 80 mm rear exhaust fan to expel the heat dissipated by components within. The side opposite the fan features a honeycomb mesh for drawing in heat generated within the case

Performance

To assess the performance of the PSU we loaded it with a 120 mm case fan, six hard drives and Nvidia GeForce 7800GTX graphics card that draws power from a PCIE power connector. Using a multi­meter we measured the voltage under idle and load conditions. Load was created by throttling the GPU by running the Doom III benchmark at the highest settings The PSU remained extremely stable with hardly any drop in voltage on the +12V rail

Verdict

The GP-PS550BP is as efficient as its counterparts by other renowned brands- a good bargain considering the price FOR: Good stability, multi-GPU support AGAINST: Few SATA power connectors
